Partnerships That Build Possibility and Increase Impact

Guided by the Owens Foundation’s belief that meaningful help begins with direct relationships with those in need, we seek partners who are trusted voices in their communities, deeply connected to the people they serve, and committed to uplifting neighborhoods for a lasting, brighter future.

We believe every Chicago neighborhood holds strength, resilience, and possibility. By working together, we support practical solutions that address pressing challenges and help individuals and families build stability, independence, and long-term opportunity.

While we remain dedicated to our long-term partners, we are open to new opportunities to join forces for greater impact.

OUR COLLABORATORS

Reclaiming Chicago

Reclaiming Chicago is an initiative of United Power for Action and Justice, a broad-based network of religious and civic organizations that mobilize collective power to drive transformative change for families and neighborhoods. Its mission is to expand homeownership for middle-class working families, build generational wealth, and stabilize communities on the South and West Sides. Reclaiming Chicago's goals and approach closely align with the Owens Foundation’s founding principles and values.

By participating, the Owens Foundation helps support a neighborhood-focused transformation, turning vacant lots into large-scale affordable housing opportunities. The coalition was recently awarded the $10 million Chicago Prize from the Pritzker Traubert Foundation, which will help fund approximately 2,000 affordable, for-sale homes across Chicago neighborhoods, including Roseland, Back of the Yards, North Lawndale, and Chicago Lawn.

OUR COLLABORATORS

Chicago Funders Together to End Homelessness (CFTEH)

The Owens Foundation partners with Chicago Funders Together to End Homelessness (CFTEH), a network founded in 2020 and incubated by Michael Reese, to help prevent and end homelessness in Chicagoland.

CFTEH takes a collaborative, systems-focused approach to advancing equitable housing policy, aligning public and private resources, and shifting power to the communities most affected by homelessness. By working together with these peer organizations and funders, the Owens Foundation helps expand its impact and reach, supporting its mission to fight homelessness and strengthen Chicago communities.
